People continualy wonder why I’m so pithed all the time.
Here’s an example: today’s headline news concerning our President’s economic stimulus package…Our President, plus House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Minority Leader John Boehner all want their huge parcel to quickly pass without any further additions. Why? So that the hot little 18-28 year olds can hurry up and buy the latest gizmo from Steve Jobs or the latest gadget from Bill Gates.They know these kids will buy-buy-buy stuff. Everybody in this nation knows these kids will buybuybuy their little hearts out. So what’s the big deal? Why am I pithed?
Because all those of us trying to survive on a miniscule social security check each month won’t see a penny. We’re exempt because we don’t work. We don’t work, they don’t pay.
Besides, if our leaders gave all this free $$$ to us old farques, all we would do is splurge it on rent, a loaf of bread, and a few prescription pills. Us geezers wouldn’t buy a new phone or a new window or a new digitally operating anything. We’d use the cash just to keep from starving for another month. And that wouldn’t stimulate the economy, now would it???
The omnipotent AARP states that there are 19,999,999 more guys out there just like me, in the same boat as me, struggling to survive on an old age pension just like me. Darn…I thought I was the only one!!!
